Legal & Trust

Privacy Policy

Dairy Dash runs your customer book, delivery rounds, invoices and ledger. That means we hold data about you and about the people you deliver to. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who can see it and how you stay in control.

Effective 20 March 2026Applies to dairydash.in and the app at dairydash.in/app

Only what the product needs

Your name, email or phone to sign you in, and the dairy records you choose to enter. Nothing scraped, nothing bought.

Never sold, never for ads

We do not sell data or share it with advertisers. Your customer book is yours — we host it, we don't trade it.

You control your customers' data

The dairy owner decides what goes in and can edit or remove it any time. We process it on your instructions.

Encrypted in transit, access-controlled

HTTPS everywhere, per-dairy isolation, and staff access limited to what their role needs.

01

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy is issued by Dairy Dash (“Dairy Dash”, “we”, “us”). It applies to the website at dairydash.in, the web application at dairydash.in/app, and any support you receive from us by email, phone or WhatsApp (together, the “Services”).

Three kinds of people are covered, and it helps to keep them apart:

WhoHow they meet Dairy DashExample data
Dairy ownersRegister a dairy and sign in with GoogleName, email, dairy name, UPI ID on invoices
Employees & delivery staffAdded by the owner; sign in with Google or phone + OTPName, phone number, role
Your customersEntered by the dairy; they do not have accountsName, phone, address, subscription, dues

If you are a customer of a dairy that uses Dairy Dash, the dairy is responsible for the data it enters about you. See section 4.

02

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name and email address (from Google sign-in), or your phone number (for staff phone + OTP sign-in).
  • Dairy profile — dairy name, address, contact number, logo, UPI ID and anything else you choose to print on invoices and round sheets.
  • Operational records — customers, products and dated prices, subscriptions, pauses and holidays, delivery logs, invoices, payments, ledger balances, complaints and any photo evidence attached to a complaint.
  • Support messages — what you write to us by email, WhatsApp or the contact form, so we can help and keep a record of the conversation.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and time of request. Used for security, debugging and keeping the service up.
  • Cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
What we deliberately do not collect
No government IDs, no bank or card details (Dairy Dash does not take payments from you today), no precise GPS location, no contact-list uploads, and no data bought from third-party sources.
03

04

Your customers' data

The customer book — names, phone numbers, addresses, what they take each day and what they owe — is entered by the dairy and belongs to the dairy. In data-protection terms, the dairy is the data fiduciary / controller for that information and Dairy Dash is the processor: we store and compute it strictly on your instructions.

  • We use customer records only to provide the Services to your dairy — never to contact your customers ourselves, and never for marketing.
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record your customers' details and for keeping them accurate.
  • If one of your customers asks to see, correct or delete their data, we will help you do so promptly from inside the product.
  • Complaint photos are visible only to your dairy's users and are stored for as long as the complaint record exists.
05

Who we share it with

We share personal data only in these limited situations:

  • Infrastructure providers that host the application, store files and deliver one-time codes. They act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Within your dairy — the owner and any employees they add can see the dairy’s records according to their role.
  • Legal requirements — where a court order, regulator or law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Dairy Dash, our users or the public.
  • Business transfers — if Dairy Dash is merged, acquired or sells assets, data may transfer to the new owner under the same commitments in this policy. We will tell you before that happens.
We never
sell personal data, share it with data brokers, or hand your customer book to any third party for their own use.
06

Google sign-in data

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use this only to create and identify your account and to show who is signed in. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke Dairy Dash’s access at any time from your Google account permissions.

07

How long we keep it

  • Account and dairy records stay for as long as your dairy account is active, so that history — old invoices, price changes, past balances — remains intact.
  • After you close your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep specific records to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
  • Technical logs are kept for a short, rolling window for security and debugging, then discarded.

To close your account or request deletion, write to help@dairydash.in from the email address on the account.

08

How we protect it

  • All traffic between your browser and Dairy Dash is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Every dairy's data is logically isolated; a user can only ever reach records of the dairy they belong to.
  • Sign-in relies on Google's verified identity or a short-lived one-time code — we never store passwords.
  • Destructive actions in the product (such as deactivating a customer) show you the consequences first, which also protects against accidental data loss.
  • Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to operate the service.

No system on the internet is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach that affects your data, we will inform you without undue delay and tell you what we know and what we are doing about it.

09

Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law — including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date (most of this you can edit yourself inside the product).
  • Delete your account and the personal data attached to it.
  • Withdraw consent where our processing relies on it, without affecting what was done before withdrawal.
  • Raise a grievance about how we have handled your data.

Send requests to help@dairydash.in. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and respond within the time the law allows. If you are unhappy with our answer you may escalate to the relevant data-protection authority.

Do Not Track. Browsers can send a “DNT” signal; there is no agreed industry standard for it, so Dairy Dash does not currently change its behaviour in response.

10

Children

Dairy Dash is a business tool for dairy owners and their staff. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

11

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading. For meaningful changes — a new category of data, a new kind of sharing — we will notify account holders by email or inside the product before the change takes effect.

12

Contact

Questions, data requests and grievances go to help@dairydash.in, or by post to the address below. For general help, our contact page lists helpline hours and WhatsApp.
